Дорогі батьки!
Школа українознавства «Рідна Школа» ім. В. Стуса, в Чикаґо розпочинає акцію «Зігріємо Українського Бійця»!
В Україні повним ходом йде неоголошена війна. Наша армія, що у нерівних умовах воює з терористами, страждає через відсутність засобів захисту, обмундирування, зброї, харчів і навіть питної води. Звертаємося до кожної родини з проханням допомогти нашим воїнам, які героїчно захищають Україну від російської агресії. Наближається зима, вже почалися заморозки. Нашим добровольцям дуже потрібні спальні мішки, а також теплі зимові куртки. Спальні мішки на температуру -15 С і нижче є досить коштовними. Управа батьків нашої школи домовилась з військовими та спортивними магазинами про дешевшу оптову закупівлю.
Закуплені речі будуть відправлені літаком однією з наших чиказьких висилкових фірм до м. Львова, звідки конвоєм будуть доставлені добровольчому батальйону СІЧ в зону АТО.
Закликаємо вас дати пожертву в сумі 50 доларів від родини на цю шляхетну справу! Ми збираємо гроші та закуповуємо речі лише до 22 листопада! 15 листопада батьки зустрічатимуться з опікунами класів, щоб отримати свідоцтва успішності учнів. Якщо б ви мали змогу в цей день передати опікунам ваш щедрий даток на теплі речі для наших військових, ми будемо вам дуже вдячні. Рука, що щедро сіє – щедро і пожне! Щоб діти розуміли важливість нашої справи та гуманітарної допомоги нашої громади українським добровольцям, які, попри брак найнеобхіднішого, захищають нині незалежність нашої батьківщини, кожен учень напише в класі лист до українського воїна, який буде докладений до придбаного спального мішка, чи куртки.
Про підсумки нашої акції ми повідомимо після 22 листопада. Наша школа прийняла естафету від школи українознавства в м. Палатайн. Після закінчення нашої акції ми передамо естафету школам українознавства: св. Володимира в Чикаґо і св. Андрія в м. Блумінґдейл!

Dear parents!
The Vasyl Stus Ukrainian School of Chicago has begun the campaign “Help for Ukrainian Soldiers”
Ukraine is engaged in a deadly undeclared war. Our army is fighting an unequal war with terrorists, and suffers from lack of protection, clothing, weapons, food and even drinking water. We turn to each family to help our soldiers who are heroically defending Ukraine from Russian aggression. With winter approaching quickly, the frosts have already begun. Our soldiers and volunteers are in desperate need for sleeping bags and warm winter jackets. Sleeping bags rated to -15 degrees C and below are rather expensive. The board of directors of our school has negotiated with the military and sports manufacturers for less expensive bulk purchases.
These purchased items will be transported by air by one of our Chicago shipping firms to Lviv. From there, they will be delivered to the Volunteer Battalion “Sich” directly in the combat zone. We call upon each family of our school to contribute $50.00 per family to this noble cause! We will be collecting contributions and purchasing the needed items only until 22 November! On Saturday, 15 November, parents will be meeting with the teachers to receive their child(ren)’s report cards. We will be very grateful if you will be able to pass along your contribution during this meeting. The hand that sows generously – reaps generously! All students have been asked to write a letter to a Ukrainian soldier. These letters will help ensure that all of our students understand the importance of our cause and the humanitarian assistance we can provide to the Ukrainian volunteers who, despite the lack of basic needs, have stepped up to protect the independence of our country today. These letters will be attached to the purchased sleeping bags and jackets. We will share the results of our collected efforts after the conclusion of our portion of the campaign. Our school took over the “baton” in a relay from the Ukrainian School in the Palatine. After the end of our portion of the campaign, we will pass along the “baton” in a relay to the St. Vladymir Ukrainian School in Chicago and St. Andrew Ukrainian School in Bloomingdale, IL.
